LOCATION

Located in the heart of Salento, in Tuglie, Tenuta La Baronessa enjoys a strategic position for visiting the most renowned destinations in the area: Gallipoli, Otranto, Lecce, Santa Maria di Leuca. The surrounding countryside, dotted with dry-stone walls and pajare, offers an authentic and fascinating landscape, while the beaches of the Ionian coast can be reached in a few minutes by car.

HOTEL

Originally an 18th-century aristocratic residence, the Tenuta is now a 4-star hotel spread over 12 hectares of Mediterranean vegetation. The communal areas include two swimming pools, an elegant restaurant with 0 km products, a poolside bar, large solarium areas, and a park for walking and jogging. The entire property is fenced off and powered by renewable energy sources, with a view to sustainability.

ROOMS

Accommodation is divided into hotel rooms, suites in Masseria and ‘pajara’ style flats:

Classic and Superior Hotel rooms (16-18 sqm): furnished in modern style with marble floors. The Superior rooms have a terrace overlooking the park.

Family Classic and Family Superior (25-30 sqm): ideal for families, with a double bed and a bunk bed. The Superior rooms boast private terraces.

Deluxe in Masseria (30 sqm): refined studios with typical furnishings and marble bathroom; some with four-poster bed.

Suite in Masseria (45-65 sqm): elegant two- and three-room apartments with vaulted ceilings in Lecce tuff, frescoes, fireplace and panoramic terraces.

Pajare' flats (60 sq m): comfortable self-contained dwellings with equipped kitchenette, ideal for families (4 to 6 beds), in residence formula.

BEACH

The Tenuta does not have a private beach, but it is a short distance from the wonderful Ionian beaches of Salento. The nearest is the coast of Gallipoli, with golden sand and crystal clear sea, about 10 minutes' drive away.

RESTAURANT

The Tenuta's restaurant serves traditional Salento dishes revisited with elegance and prepared with fresh, local ingredients. Continental breakfast enriched with homemade proposals and dinner served à la carte (half board). Included: microfiltered water, house wine, and a weekly typical Salento buffet dinner.

SERVICES AND ACTIVITIES

For guests in search of recreation and well-being, Amaregold Tenuta La Baronessa offers a wide range of activities and services designed to make their stay both dynamic and comfortable. Within the large 12-hectare park, guests can enjoy relaxing walks along the jogging paths or take advantage of the two swimming pools with equipped solarium. Nature and sports enthusiasts can rent bicycles (with or without a guide), take part in horse riding excursions at neighbouring stables, or discover the wonders of Salento with guided tours by land or boat. Guests can also enjoy services on request such as relaxing, toning or draining massages, designed for psycho-physical recovery.
