Alberosole is a cosy and refined restaurant at the ground floor of a building dated 1300, near the old town, the so called Barivecchia, and not far from the Murat quarter.
The interiors of the restaurant are characterized by the tuff vaults and the floors in “chianca leccese”, the typical local stone. The tables are set with linen tablecloths and the plates, all different from each other, are hand-worked. The location, rustic but with some elegant touches, makes of the Alberosole one of the most comfortable restaurants in Bari, one among the few of the town mentioned in the restaurant guide “Gambero Rosso”.
The kitchen proposes dishes taken from the ancient Apulian tradition revised with creativity always respecting the season and the origin of the products. The owner of the restaurant is very fond of traditional cuisine and of the good Apulian dishes that recall the flavours and the scents of Sicily, his mother-country. The chef proposes stimulating new versions of the regional dishes always accompanied by an excellent choice of high level wines.
The wine cellar
The rich wine cellar includes, among its labels, national and international wines. Every single wine is tested by the owner, Mr Antonio, before being inserted in the prestigious wine-list. At the end of a delicious meal, the guest can choose among the rich selection of spirits and dessert wines.
