San Giorgio Resort & Spa - Cutrofiano - Lecce - Apulia

Location
The San Giorgio Resort & Spa, a  5 star resort is located 27 km to the south from Lecce, in the heart of the peninsula of Salento, also known as the “Italian heel”. The hotel is close to Cutrufiano, a small town which is rich in cultural heritage and historic remains. The sea is about 28 km away and Brindisi 72 km.

Hotel
The Resort San Giorgio & Spa used to be a monastery, which has been completely refurbished. In fact, San Giorgio is still today the ideal place in which to relax, thanks to the warm hospitality and peacefulness. The modern comfort of the hotel represents a lovely contrast with the ancient walls of the building. The hotel is surrounded by an enchanted nature in a 6 hectares private park.

At clients disposal, 2 outdoor swimming pools with hydro massage, of which one for exclusive use by hotel guests; swimming pools are surrounded by olive trees and are equipped with sun shades and sun beds during summer time.

Rooms
The resort Resort San Giorgio has 18 rooms. Each room is furnished with peculiar motifs. Categories available are as follows: 4 Superior rooms, 10 Deluxe rooms, 2 Junior Suites and 2 Suites. The latter are located inside of an ancient outlook tower which faces the cloister, separated from the main building in order to guarantee some more privacy to customers.

All the rooms and suites have one room only and are equipped with modern comfort like air conditioning, whirlpool or shower, satellite TV, mini-fridge, direct line telephone, internet access, safe, radio. From the rooms you will enjoy a splendid landscape, thanks to the hotel location, right in the middle of the countryside of Salento.

Superior they are about 25–30 sqm and have a shower.

Deluxe 30–35 sqm, situated in the main building where also the beauty centre is to be found. Only one deluxe room has a small balcony.

Junior Suite about 30 sqm, the suites Aragona and Normanna are located in the towers and separated from the main building.

The Suite Orleans is about 40 sqm and the exclusive Suite San Giorgio occupies the 1st floor of a tower, and it is equipped with mini swimming whirlpool on the terrace, with panoramic view over the romantic garden and the outdoor swimming pool.

Beauty centre
The multisensory beauty centre of the hotel offers the most sophisticated beauty treatments, such as massages, Kneipp circuit, indoor swimming pool, Turkish bath, shower, sauna and gym for a complete "remise en forme" in an ambience of complete relax.

Restaurant & Bar
The refined restaurant “Il Chiostro”, with 40 seats, offers a choice of dishes of the regional and national cuisine of high quality. Equipped with a wine cellar with about 1000 labels of precious wines stores the best of the national and international products with particular attention on the local production. An ideal place for a tasting among experts. Immerged in the olive grove of Salento during the summer months there is a snack bar at the swimming pool “piscina degli ulivi”, which offers tasty light lunches, snacks and drinks which are served in an informal atmosphere which moments of complete relax.
